The Great Schema: Highest Degree of Orthodox Monastic Life
The post explains the Great Schema as the highest degree of Orthodox monastic life. The monk who receives it offers his life completely to Christ through repentance, prayer, obedience, and the struggle against the passions. Its symbols point to the Passion of Christ and the calling to die to the old man so that Christ may live within him. The same explanation is provided in Greek. The post is identified as an original production of Prayer Orthodoxy.
