Kyrie Eleison: A Simple Prayer of Endless Meaning
The post presents the Jesus Prayer "Kyrie Eleison" (Lord, have mercy) as it is repeated throughout the Divine Liturgy. The author describes the prayer as simple in wording but endless in meaning. The text invites the reader to enter the beauty of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater, Florida, where every icon, candle, and hymn turns the heart toward Christ.
The same reflection appears in Greek: "Κύριε Ελέησον Κύριε, ελέησον.
The post is identified as an original production of Prayer Orthodoxy and carries hashtags for Orthodox, Kyrie Eleison, Prayer, Christ, and Liturgy.
