New "Encounters" Series Launches with Fr. John Chryssavgis Interview of Jane Goodall

The Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Hellenic College Holy Cross has launched a new series titled "Encounters," conceived by longtime friend and publisher Maria Kokkinou of Akritas Books in Athens. Fr. John Chryssavgis, writing in the Observer, explains that the series embodies the institute's mission of meeting and opening up to other people and worldviews.

The inaugural volume features Fr. John's interview with renowned primatologist and United Nations peace ambassador Jane Goodall (1934–2025). In the conversation, Goodall speaks openly about care for the planet, peace in the world, and hope for the future. The series aims to foster dialogue across disciplines and perspectives, reflecting the ecumenical institute's commitment to engagement with contemporary issues through a lens of faith and reason.
