Saint James the Apostle: Preached in Egypt, Martyred by Crucifixion

The post recounts the life of Saint James, the son of Alphaeus, one of the Twelve Apostles and brother of Saint Matthew the Evangelist. He witnessed Christ's teachings, miracles, suffering, Resurrection, and Ascension. After Pentecost, he preached first in Eleutheropolis and surrounding regions, then traveled to Egypt.

Through his preaching and miracles, casting out demons, healing the sick, delivering people from spiritual darkness, he challenged pagan worship and brought many to Christianity. Churches were established, and bishops and priests were appointed to guide the new communities. In the Egyptian city of Ostracine, pagans seized him and condemned him to death by crucifixion.

He gave his life for the Lord whose Resurrection he had witnessed and whose Gospel he had preached. The post concludes that his life shows following Christ requires faithfulness through sacrifice, suffering, and every trial, not merely verbal belief.
